The joy of teaching is not what you think.

Students who learn with ease and knowledge grows as quick as a wink.

Bring teacher’s a smile and a feeling of pride,

But true joy for a teacher, to others it may hide.

True joy comes when a teacher sees a light begin to shine,

In a student that some others have left behind.

Small words of “WOW” or “PICK ME” when they know answers like other students do. 

Sweet words of confidence when they are the helpers and important too.

A student that succeeds and has had to work twice as hard to learn,

Brings joy to a teachers that others can never discern.
