Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,

Welcome to a new year at Haworth High School. I've been teaching at Haworth Public Schools since 2012 and I am just as enthusiastic and excited about having your child (or children) in my class this year as I was my first year of teaching. Our social studies curriculum focuses on maintaining high standards and developing critical thinking skills through social studies. These courses will require students to question evidence in a new, challenging, and critical manner as well as contribute to class discussions on a wide range of issues. Their opinions are important, but those opinions must all contain clear, logical, and vetted evidence from reliable, corroborated, and closely read sources. This is an excited and engaging course. I hope your child will enjoy this adventure into critical thinking, discussion, and contribute to our collective conversation and debate this year.
