Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,

As we transition into our Distance Learning platforms, please know that I am available to assist you with any questions you may have related to online learning.  We will primarily be using Google Classroom for all assignments. The Google Classroom can be reached at classroom.google.com. Students will simply use the school email and password to log in.

Core classes (AP US History, AP World History, and US History) will complete two assignments per week while Elective courses (Broadcasting, ACT Prep., and Drama) will complete one assignment per week.

All assignments are available as of April 6, 2020 and are due by May 11, 2020. Students may work ahead if they like or they can complete the assignments week by week.

I can provide additional help through a variety of methods. Those include phone calls, text messages, Google Hangouts (already created for each class), emails, or I can even set-up a video conference for face-to-face help online.

Welcome to a new year at Haworth High School. I've been teaching at Haworth Public Schools since 2012 and I am just as enthusiastic and excited about having your child (or children) in my class this year as I was my first year of teaching. Our social studies curriculum focuses on maintaining high standards and developing critical thinking skills through social studies. The focus of my drama course will emphasize more heavily in the areas of creativity and ingenuity while including, but not limited to, stage make-up, props, special effects lighting, and sound effects, as well as acting for the stage. ACT Prep will focus on just that – preparing for the ACT. And last but not least, the broadcasting class will focus on how to properly use a camera and effectively edit the footage to make spectacular videos that students can be proud of.

If you have any concerns or questions regarding the course work, please feel free to contact me. I also offer free after school tutoring (by appointment only)! Listed below is my schedule for the school year:

Sincerely,
