Haworth Schools Mission and Vision Statements

Mission Statement

The mission of Haworth Schools is to provide each student a diverse education in a safe, supportive environment that promotes high moral character, self-discipline, motivation, and excellence in learning.

 Vision Statement

The vision of Haworth Schools is to provide opportunities for students, faculty, staff, parents and community to develop, through communication, a sense of ownership, spirit, and pride in the school. Not only must students be prepared academically, but also be nurtured with a sense of cultural awareness which includes an appreciation of tolerance, diversity, community, and the arts.

Beginning of School Information

  • First Day of School for K-12 students is August 4 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.     
  • Students will attend 5 days a week in the months of August and January and 4 days a week for the remaining months.    
  • Middle and high school students will receive a school calendar in enrollment packets during scheduled enrollment times for each site. (See above calendar for enrollment dates and times.)
  • Elementary students will receive enrollment packet on August 4th.
  • Please complete all forms during enrollment times or return the first week of school.     
  • August 2nd is new elementary student enrollment and Title I/Meet the Teacher Night.     
  • Students in 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades who are playing basketball will be required to have a sports physical by the first week of school.   
  • Substitute Training is July 28th.
